I can never bring myself to toss the gorgeous swirls of paint that collect on my palette at the end of a painting session. Instead, I give them a second life. These pieces are created using dried paint—sometimes peeled off the palette and arranged on canvas, other times left exactly as they formed and refined with paint and pen. Each one carries the history of countless brushstrokes from other paintings.
